ta da
finally. I have posted a few new stanzas.
writing and thinking again
past couple of weeks my head has been alive with thoughts about HW, which hasn't happened in a while
yesterday I actually put some words to processor, now I just need to edit and post it!
today...
today I will be pencil
unsharpened
that if you press hard enough
maybe you can make a smudge

I feel pretty much like this about my writing. And it is indicitive of how my writing is going that I am posting a eight year old poem to express it.
New plan. New deadline.
The storyline for haikuwestern will end on Halloween.
November is National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org/) and while I do not plan to start and write a new novel I will take the opportunity to finish the one I started last November. The novel is called A Speculative Biography or Alive and Well in the City of My Dreams and is set in a future/alternative history Pacific NW, which is not exactly easy to think about and keep myself in a Wild West mindset as well. During November I do plan to use this site to post pages, chapter, paragraphs of the novel for you, kind reader, to peruse.
So, once I've finished haikuwestern and then work on the novel, I will come back to hw, edit and tweak and then the plan is to publish the entire thing in some sort of semi-permanent(paper) offline form.
And then....I am not sure. But I do believe after all that I will start on a new Western.
Thanks for reading.
Ugh.
So I have found out that it is harder to write at home than at work. And since there is no work right now it is very hard to write. I apologize. I just posted some stanzas today, here is hoping for more soon.
Now there is a blog!
I have been meaning to add a space where I could put little notes about things going on in my head that don't make it into the HW, or put notices/changes for readers.
This seems as good a time as any!
I have inserted some stanzas out of order in Act V. The new stanzas start here and end with the stanza:
Cyrus McCall walks
into the Saloon almost
an hour later, he’d
watched Monty enter, then went
elsewhere for liquid courage,
steeling himself for
the task he’d set for himself
early this morning
Thanks for reading!
